David Senekal - Self Drive tour Etosha
Review of: Desert, Bush and Beach (Namibia)

Lesley & Vincent Artingstall
In June 2019 we booked a Self Drive Tour to Etosha National Park in Namibia. David Senekal of Namibia Botswana & South Africa Self Drive tours booked our trip. This was our first visit to Namibia, we live in South Africa. Itís was almost like going back 30 years in time, alcohol could not be bought on a Sunday. The Namibian people where exceptionally friendly.

The Self Drive trip booked via David Senekal included the following activities:

> Flights into and out of Windhoek International Airport
> Britís 4x4 Car Hire
> Arrival and Departure Stop Over at Arebbusch Travel Lodge
> 6 Night Stay at Taleni Etosha Village including meals

The complete trip went off like clockwork with no issues.

Air Namibia and SAA flights into and out of Windhoek were on time a first for my wife and I in all our years of traveling. The Windhoek International Airport was small and provided a pleasant experience.

The hired car was a Toyota RAV vehicle hired via Britz 4x4 at the Windhoek International Airport. The car handover by Britz was handled professionally and efficiently. The Toyota RAVI coped very well with the tough road conditions in Etosha National Park. Arebbusch Travel Lodge provided a pleasant accommodation stop over night for our arrival and departure nights. The Lodge provides good access to the road heading up north to Etosha. The roads up to Etosha Anderson Gate were in good condition without a single pot hole. Well done Namibia.

David Senekal had booked us into Taleni Etosha Village. The Etosha Village provided easy access to Anderson Gate about 5 minutes by car. The Accommodation at Taleni Etosha Village was excellent. The evenings were quite with star studied heaven above us every night.

The Taleni Etosha Village staff were professional and provided great service, nothing was to much trouble. The meals were wonderful. Etosha was more than we expected so different to our own Kruger National Park that we love so dearly. In Etosha itís a case of finding a waterhole and letting the animals come to you!

We managed to add 25 new birds to our Roberts birding list wish now stands at 461. Seeing the Etosha Pan was a real highlight. Even though the Pan was dry it was an awesome sight. This was a simmering track of white disappearing over the horizon.
It felt like you were looking at the surface of the moon. A visit when the Pan Contains water and is filled with Flamingo must be wonderful

What a wonderful trip that will remain in our memories forever.

We are indebted to David Senekal, who pulled out all the stops to make this a wonderful experience for us. Nothing was to much trouble for David he was at our beck and call 24/7. We have never experienced service from a Travel Agent as good as this.

We would highly recommend traveling on a Self Drive arranged by David Senekal.

David thanks for all the work you put in we feel like family. Look forward to traveling with you in the future.
